Erin Sawyer, an associate attorney with NRS Injury Law, focuses her practice on workers’ compensation. Prior to joining the NRS team, Erin practiced in the Northeast Ohio area and aided the local the Akron community as a Guardian Ad Litem assisting children and families. Erin also has previous experience representing victims of personal injury in the greater Cleveland area. There, she participated in depositions, mediations, discovery, and extensive trial preparation.
While in law school, Erin received a CALI awards for academic excellence in Tort Law (2013), aided limited means individuals through the University Expungement Clinic and was an editor for the Akron Law Review (2013-2014).
Erin, a Summit County resident, enjoys exploring the local metro parks.
Vincent D. Scebbi, an associate attorney with NRS Injury Law, focuses his practice on personal injury and workers’ compensation. Prior to joining our firm, Vince developed a strong passion for litigation and assisting individuals harmed by other’s negligence while clerking for a prestigious plaintiff’s litigation firm here in Cleveland. In addition, Vince clerked for a local municipal prosecutor’s office, where he assisted in drafting an appellate brief before the Ohio Eighth District Court of Appeals.
While attending law school, Vince focused his studies in litigation and excelled at trial work. He was an active member of the Cleveland-Marshall Mock Trial Team, where he took first place in the 2015 Case Classic Mock Trial Tournament, as well as capturing Best Advocate in the championship round. He was also a semifinalist in the 2016 Texas Young Lawyer Association Regional Tournament.
Vince was also active in Cleveland-Marshall’s law clinics. As a member of the Civil Litigation Clinic, he gained experience representing those individuals seeking unemployment benefits. In the Post-Conviction Relief Clinic, Vince drafted multiple successful Petitions for Habeas Corpus before the United States Northern District of Ohio.
Prior to law school, Vince attended the University of Toledo, where he majored in journalism and developed a passion working with individuals in his community. He served as the Editor-in-Chief of his college newspaper, The Independent Collegian. He has also been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for his individual writing. He was also a sports writer for the award-winning Toledo Free Press, covering the Toledo Walleye and Toledo Mud Hens.
Vince, a Brunswick native, now lives in Cleveland. In his spare time, he is an avid golfer, enjoys trivia and loves exploring new restaurants in the Northeast Ohio area.
Heaven N. Jaafar is an associate attorney with Nager, Romaine & Schneiberg Co., L.P.A. focusing on workers' compensation.
Heaven graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2016. In 2017, she moved from Mississippi to Cleveland to attend law school at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she graduated with honors. During law school, Heaven was a member of the Cleveland State Law Review and clerked at a plaintiff's firm focusing on medical malpractice, employee pension and benefits, and wage and hour law. After graduation, she pursued a real estate and mortgage lending career before eventually sitting for the bar exam in February 2022.
When not working, Heaven enjoys live music, hiking, camping, and hanging out with her pups, Abu and Bertie.
