A Community-Focused Background Dedicated to Service
“Ever since I was in the 4th grade, I’ve known I wanted to be an attorney,” Ryan said as he outlined his career background. “And every position I’ve held, even before becoming a lawyer, centered around this common vision of helping others. For example, my first job in the legal field was at a criminal defense attorney’s office, but even before that I was volunteering for the Cleveland Legal Aid Society or working in law school internships and externships finding ways to help low-income or indigent clients clear their legal slate through clemency or pardons.”
Ryan can’t help but dive into roles that involve improving life for individuals and communities across Northeast Ohio. Ryan worked in city beautification, he volunteered for a bicycle nonprofit for low-income Ohioans, he helped the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office solve cold cases, and he worked as a staff attorney at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Before going to law school, Ryan competed on his high school Mock Trial team where he served as captain, and he competed in Moot Court in undergrad. Ryan developed a knack for debate, rhetoric, and oration. Around that same time, a close family member fell into the legal system, and Ryan saw firsthand how challenging it can be to navigate legal processes and how important it is to have representation that cares about you and your well-being.
In law school, Ryan sought every internship and externship he could that involved helping Ohioans who could not help themselves. “One of my most significant victories before coming to NRS Injury Law was winning an award from the Ohio Supreme Court for Pro Bono Service Recognition in 2023,” Ryan said. “That recognition really cemented the idea that the legal field is about serving those who cannot represent themselves. I knew at that point my legal career was going to be dedicated to helping others, and that’s how I found my way to NRS Injury Law.”
Work/Life Balance
When he’s not representing the firm’s clients, Ryan spends his time on home renovations with his fiancé. “Every time we finish one project, she and I find another to tackle,” Ryan said with a chuckle. In between renovation projects, Ryan can be found playing golf or chess, attending concerts or movies, or spending time with friends. He’s a big fan of yard work when the weather isn’t too harsh, and when it is, Ryan escapes indoors to play with his three cats.

Community Impact
Ryan has always seen his legal career as an opportunity to help others, and to leverage America’s law and order system as a tool for the public good. He volunteered for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, where he met with indigent and low-income clients in need of legal services. Ryan proudly worked in the Ohio Governor’s Pardon, Clemency, and Expungement Clinic where he helped Ohioans seek a clean slate. While in law school, he was awarded the Supreme Court of Ohio Pro Bono Service Recognition for his dedication to helping others. In his spare time, Ryan has also volunteered for the Ohio City Bicycle Co-Op, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to helping low-income northeastern Ohio residents learn about, repair, and obtain bicycles for transportation, exercise, and hobby use.
